David Rossi had a problem, and that problem was about ten inches tall, had four legs, and weighed approximately eight pounds. I've seen the man before, once, when he arrived. Even then he seemed put together and taking it all about as well as a person can, so the fact that he's a bit upset now truly comes through. I suppose the talking to himself in public helps with that.

How strange, he's putting up a notice about a cat.

"Did the village take your cat?" That would be the strangest disappearance yet--leave the man but send his pet home.

As he demonstrates the size of 'this thing', I cannot help but smile. It's so... not specific.

"I didn't know about breeds until I came here. We've just got cats at home, but my lady here had a Siamese." I'm still smiling. "If I see him I'll let you know."

Or catch him. Why do I think David will be seeing that cat again?

Yeah, his description left a lot to be desired, he was fully aware of that. But he didn't much care, either.

He had a feeling he'd be seeing the cat, too.

Maybe a part of him hoped he would.
