It was, perhaps, not the most likely of sights: a seasoned FBI profiler, serving wine to various patrons. This wasn't just any wine bar, though; he was particular about wine (fussy, Emily would say), but this place mostly met his standards, and the people who tended to frequent Veritas had good taste, too, otherwise he would have left a while ago. He might have been agreeable about branching out and trying something new job-wise, but that didn't mean he would ever settle for something that disappointed him.
It amused him to imagine what the rest of the team would think if they could see him now. Aaron was probably the only one who wouldn't be surprised. David Rossi had his comforts and habits, but as most of them had seen, he wasn't so set in his ways that he couldn't change, couldn't try other things. Few of them had probably expected him to be such a wonderful cook until he'd dazzled them with his talents. The only thing that would make this place better would be a separate lounge where people could enjoy cigars with their wine. He preferred scotch with cigars, but some people preferred wine or martinis.
It had been a quiet evening so far, which tended to make the time pass by slowly. He expected more people to start showing up as the evening wore on.
