school shopping and water babies [[ota]]
As the stifling hot days of summer start giving way to the 80s, Erica decides to take a day off and get some shopping done for Angel. With school starting tomorrow, clothes have already been bought and tailored for her wings. But Erica knew if they bought supplies too early, the girl would have a hard time not playing with everything or wanting to use the markers and crayons right away. So, they go to the general store and things are bought and paid for, before one last afternoon at the pool.
It's just warm enough for the girls and Erica, and she gets baby Maddie into her little pink swimsuit. Angel puts on her (also pink) swimsuit as well, and all three head to the roof. Part of this is relaxation, and part of it is trying to wear out Angel so that she'll be tired by the time her bedtime rolls around. Swimming always does the trick, right? Sitting with Maddie in the shallow end, she laughs when the baby kicks at the water, happily babbling and shrieking.
