Sometimes, a half day at work was needed in order to indulge in seasonal portraits. And Erica hadn't missed the opportunity to have Halloween pictures of Maddie taken now that there was a new photographer in the village. And now, with the baby still in her little outfit (no costumes for the infant thank you very much, in case there was another incident like last year), they head to the park. The weather couldn't be better - blue sky and warm sun, but not hot. Nice and breezy.
Spreading a blanket out, Erica sits with Madeline between her legs and gets lunch out of the diaper bag, feeding her the Gerber version of chicken sticks, diced carrots, and sliced apples. And honestly, it's something they can both eat. "Okay, M&M. Think we should go see daddy before you go to day care?"
There's a resounding 'mmmmm!' and it's hard to tell if that's in response to going to see John, or the food. Both of them are relaxed, Maddie looking around as she eats, and Erica focused on making sure the food ends up in her mouth until it's time to go.
