Nobody spotted it as it was happening, and even the earliest morning joggers were likely confused that they may have woken up in a dream world. Castiel had been pretty bored the past few weeks after they had officially dealt with Abbadon, and he had taken up knitting and crocheting. He was a fast learner.

Did the village do this? If so, it's a rather odd and innocent prank for it to pull. Valar, there's yarn everywhere.
Can tag him, or just let the cat chew on the trees for a while.

He spots the cat first, clawing at the trunk, and smiles. Should he confess to people that he did all of this, or just leave them to enjoy it?

"I had no idea that Olore would find outside this interesting today. Now I feel bad that I've not given him yarn before." He seems to be enjoying it very much.

"There's more where that came from." Cas pulled some extra bits out of his pocket. He had a lot of leftovers. "Can I give it to him?"
[[If my Cas has met Faramir I do apologize.]]

"So all of this is from you?" I know that angels are unique beings, but I would not have imagined this.
I don't remember. He's met several Castiels and any oddness is just the way Castiel is.

Cas was busy dangling the yarn above Olore, trying to get him interested in that instead of what was tied around the tree.
"Hm? Oh, yes. I took knitting up as a hobby, and then I read about this- what they call 'yarn bombing'- in a book. I thought I'd give it a try." And he got really bored at night sometimes, when everyone else was sleeping. It gave him a lot of hours to himself.

"Bombing? It's vastly more entertaining than any other sort of bombing I've read about." I certainly haven't read that book, but I know nothing at all of knitting.
"Here I've been reading some books on how to cook but there is nothing of bombing in those." Not like the throwing of overripe fruit occasionally perpetrated back on the island. "Although the leftover food from Shane's cookout might have seemed like a bombing."
I make a face, faux-tragic.
"He asked if I wanted leftovers. I thought a meal or so. He gave me enough for a week and more."

"If there is such a thing, I think I may have food bombed my kitchen once."
He didn't know a Shane, and he was still pretty certain that he had never met this man either. But Olore was fun to play with at least.
"I believe this is technically a form of vandalism in some places, but I guess I just wanted people to look at things differently for once."

"Will the yarn hurt the trees?" I would hope not. "I do not see a problem, if nothing is harmed."
The modern world is a very strange place. They allow great buildings to block the sun and machines to poison the air, but not yarn.

"We'll have to come out every day." Olore enjoys summer, except when it's raining.
"I like it, whatever my opinion is worth. Olore obviously does too."

"There are so many new things for most of us. Cats, too."

"I did want a cat friend myself once."

Castiel isn't human, and his mannerisms are not at all so.
"Are you not the same Castiel I've met before?" I do not think an angel would forget, so the mistake must be mine.
