Author Notes: All mistakes are my own as I don't use a beta. So after Brittany's comment in Original Song...I kind of couldn't get this out of my head.
Another Fan?
Rachel only had one thing on her mind. She needed to find Puckerman. She needed to put a blemish on her squeaky-clean persona. Granted she did not want to do anything drastic. It would be very unbecoming of a future Broadway Scarlet to have a scandalous record in her younger years, but a few drinks would not hurt her right?
The petite diva was so lost in her own thoughts that she had not noticed the taller blonde until after walking headlong into her and hiding herself on the floor.
“Oh, I do apologize Brittany,” Rachel started, eyes growing wide when Brittany expended her hand to help her. “Thank you.”
Brittany shrugged with a smile, “Don’t worry about it.”
Rachel nodded, dusting herself, “You didn’t happen to see Noah pass by have you?” Brittany blinked at her in confusion, “I mean Puck.”
“Puck’s really name is Noah?” Rachel nodded and the blonde tilted her head, “weird.” She shrugged again as if she did not really care, “Last I saw he was talking to Lauren at her locker.”
Delighted Rachel started to move pass the girl, “Wonderful, thank you for your help Brittany.”
“Hey Rachel,” she waited until the brunette had turned back to look at her, “I liked your song?” At Rachel’s confused look Brittany continued, “You know the one you just sang to Finn about your headband? I really liked it. Could you maybe sing the rest of it?”
Rachel bit her lower lip and shook her head, “Finn was right. It was a horrible song. I won’t be singing it again.”
“Oh,” Brittany replied, looking down at her feet, “I don’t really think it was horrible but if you don’t want to sing it again that’s okay.” Another shrug of her shoulders and the blonde gave a tiny wave before heading in the opposite direction.
Rachel sighed, not being able to shake the saddened expression that had come to Brittany’s face. For the moment, she put her plans to talk to Puck on hold and chased after the pretty blonde.
“Brittany, wait,” she cautiously put her hand on Brittany’s arm, “would you like to hear the rest?”
The way Brittany’s eyes lit up sent a flutter through her heart. The blonde chatted merrily as they headed towards the auditorium. Rachel could not help but wonder if she had made a new fan or even better a new friend.
