An Explanation of Tags
Here is a quick rundown of the tags that will be used in this community. Hopefully they're pretty self-explanatory... but this post is here just in case. :)
Important stuff:
*official: permanent
official posts that are there for all time, such as the rules and the FAQ
*official: [year]
official posts for that particular round only, such as that year's sign-ups. (It's the year Valentine's falls on, ex.: 2009/2010 round = *official: 2010)
*mod post
mod posts that are not official, such as deadline reminders
Fic and Art:
gifts: *art
all fanart
gifts: *fic
all fanfiction
gifts: *rated [pg / pg-13 / r / nc-17]
all fic and art with that rating. Note: the "XXX" rating will not be used here; that's what NC-17 is for. We will also use "PG" to represent both the G and PG ratings, just to simplify things
gifts: [character a]/[character b]
fic and art featuring that particular pairing
gifts: [character]/oc
fic and art featuring that particular character paired with an original character, whether male or female. Note: we won't tag for OCs unless they're paired with a canon character
gifts: [character] gen
fic and art featuring that particular character, if it's gen
gifts: dethklok gen
gen fic and art featuring three or more members of the band and/or Ofdensen. Other groups will be labeled similarly, such as "tribunal gen" or "snakes n' barrels gen"
gifts: [character]/various
fic and art featuring that particular character, if it's not gen, but there're no main pairing(s)
gifts: mystery character
fic and art where one or more of the characters have been intentionally withheld by the author or artist
gifts: mystery pairing
fic and art where the pairing(s) have been intentionally withheld by the author or artist
(Please note: this community will NOT be using the yaoi practice of changing name order in a pairing to indicate who is "dominant." This is a decision that we know some of you may not agree with... but we have our reasons.
So, to sum up: if, for example, there is Toki/Skwisgaar fic posted here with Toki on top, it will be tagged as gifts: toki/skwisgaar; if there is Toki/Skwisgaar fic where Skwisgaar is on top, it will still be tagged gifts: toki/skwisgaar.)
Participants:
made for [username]
the gift(s) for that user, whether from the current or past rounds. A quick way to find your gift, if you missed it
made by [username]
fic and/or art submitted by that user. Entries for the current round will not be tagged until the Big Reveal, obviously
made by *anonymous
all fic and art for the current round, until the Big Reveal
