Hotel Conference Room (OTA)
It had been a hectic January--a new headmaster, new classes and insane weather for at least a week...including a blackout which had forcibly reminded him of winter in a Chicago apartment which was heated by a fireplace and a stove, rather than central heating. And not long after that, he'd come down with a nasty cold that hung on for entirely too long.
Well, the cold was finally gone and convalescence (what he had been able to do after work and preparing for work) was over and done. Now he was sitting in a conference room off of the lobby, practicing tricks from the book on stage magic that Hendricks had given him for his birthday. He had a feeling that some of them might be useful in the future.
