Time to take a walk (OTA)

(Open to meet anyone. He's moving from the door of the hotel toward the Dojo.  Slow time is loved!)

Samwise had been kind enough to show Legolas to the hotel, where they did indeed have a room prepared for him.  They asked him what his home environment was like, then handed him the key to his room.  The hobbit took Legolas into the elevator, explaining the controls and how to work the lock on his door.  As Legolas made to enter, Samwise excused himself and promised to visit later.

Much to his surprise, Legolas entered his room and found, not a hard-edged Inn room, but a lush Forest Glen with a large tree to one side and a clear pool of water that ran gently over rocks on the other.  Legolas could see no beginning or end of the pool but after a moment, simply accepted it and  began to relax. This truly was a magical place.

The glen was a very close replica of the small glen back in Greenwood where he'd spent many happy childhood days. Closing the door, the wood elf removed all pretense with his clothing, stepped out of the pile and into the refreshing water. Legolas swam lazily, then floated until his tension was completely gone.  Emerging from the water, Legolas walked past his forgotten clothing and laid down in the soft, sweet-smelling grass and slipped easily into reverie.  All else could wait.

Upon waking, Legolas lay on his back and stared up at a late afternoon sky. It was clearly magical, of coure, but still far superior to any indoor ceiling he had before seen.  Not even Lord Elrond's magnificent home nor his father's majectic caves could rival this beauty. If he must be far from home, he was grateful for this degree of comfort.

Looking about, he noted the music of the water, the fruit trees, the berries and high in the large tree - a niche perfect for sleeping.  A family of squirrels chattered in the corner by a smaller tree and tiny songbirds filled the air with lilting tones.  Too long had he been in the city, away from his forests and the wood elf vowed to enjoy this refuge in his natural state anytime he was alone in his glen.

Though he was enjoying this relaxation, his curiosity was piqued about the rest of this very strange place.  With one last glance around, Legolas stood and returned to his discarded clothing.  He put on his leggings, but left the jerkin where it lay. Legolas removed a soft, pale green tunic made from elven silk and put it on.  It fell to mid thigh as it slipped easily over his head.  Legolas' golden hair fell loose down his back and after running his fingers through it, he left it free.  Reaching for his boots, the wood elf changed his mind and left them behind as his bare feet padded to the door.  It would be wonderful to feel the world beneath his feet. There was time enough for convention whenever he returned home.

Slipping the key into a small hidden pocket in his tunic, Legolas left his hotel room and walked out into the quiet of late afternoon. He stood in the small street for a moment, looking left and right.  He noticed what appeared to be an archery field in the distance and began to walk toward it.
