It's Mother's Day (Open) (Multi-pup post)

Yuri wanted to be a mom one day. She could see kids in the village picking spring wildflowers for their mommies and be so excited to present them. Older kids, adult kids, they did different things. Dads did things when the child was only a baby ( Read more... )

The Dragon lounges atop the hotel, with most of her sinuous body in the pool itself, while her head peeks over the ledge of the pool area now and again, watching the children from afar with indulgence.

When she sees Faramir, she launches herself into the air, but on her way over the wall she shifts to her humanoid shape to float down to land on her feet by his side.

That she's nude goes without saying. "Minmir," she greets him as warmly as she always does, as pleased to see him as if it had been months of absence, rather than an hour or so.

The noise from the top of the hotel draws my attention. Sometimes it seems when I think of someone, there they are. Few make such a dramatic entrance as Glaurnaneth can. I've seen some of her abrupt changes and my nerves are not frayed.

"My lady," I greet her with a smile. "Have you heard that today is one of the Earth holidays?"

"I had, but had not paid it much attention," she says as she curls her tail around his waist. A slight tightness around the corners of her eyes eases as his presence soothes a fear she will never be rid of.

"The signs in the stores speak of a day of mothers, do they not?"

"They do." I am familiar enough with her that her nudity does not bother me, nor does her tail curling about me. Some women might take a man's arm but Glaurnaneth is unique.

"Our son is not here, but you are still the golden mother of our golden child." That is obvious. "I would not get you a card and I can take you to supper any day--even today if you wish it."

Those things aren't really gifts.

"I would give you a gift to remind you that I love the mother of my son. For a dragon, that would be a treasure." I have a few ideas but perhaps she has others.
