I appologise for not telling you, but I didn't think you would take it well. I thought it'd be better for your mental health if you didn't know.
If Jacob told you the whole story, he'd have also mentioned that I didn't realise alcohol would do that to you. And lets not forget I was drunk as well.

But if you'd rather I stay far away from you, I can do so. Its your choice.

Maybe I did overreact, I did know what alcohol does for me, but I'd have rather heard you admit to it then try to hide it from me.
