Much as I love Artwork, and I do, a LOT (it's one of my most played albums, ever), the one album that I have played from beginning to end, over and over and over and am still not tired of is: Coheed and Cambria's "Good Apollo, I'm Burning Star IV, Volume one: From Fear Through The Eyes Of Madness". It is such a weird album in many ways, with a lot of songs that don't really have much to do with each other at all and several musical quirks that many other people have expressed not being 'comfortable' with or knowing what to do with. And yet. And yet! It just flows so well and even if many of the songs are great stand-alones, listening to them in the order they are as an album just gives it that extra oomph that makes it my favorite album of all time. Seriously. If anybody asks what my favorite album is, this is my answer, and it hasn't changed in many years now

My favorite whole album is This Is War by 30 Seconds to Mars. I love albums that are cohesive and thematic, and this one really does that. It has an anthemic feel and it's empowering. It makes me feel strong and like I'm part of something bigger. You could pick any song on the track list and know it was from that album. Vox Populi is my favorite, but I don't hate any of them.* I can't wait for their new album, but at the same time I worry that anything would be a let down because I loved This Is War so damn much.
*Except the last song, L490 by Shannon. That shit is just weird. It still fits in a way but it's too weird to count, and they performed it live. IDEK.
That was how I felt about Vulnerable. I was all "God, they really set themselves up for failure after Artwork being amazing" but thankfully, Vulnerable was ALMOST as good Artwork. (Some people say it was better or as good, but I dont agree. It's ALMOST as good though)
