OMG this is too freakin' long. Kim... I will strangle you for this!

But, oh well, she knows me too well. I couldn't resist doing it, even though it's 12:40 a.m., I've been up since 8 a.m. and I just completed my first shift at work. But how the hell can I resist books?

Never. ;-)

So here it is!

The ultra-mega-super-uber-duber-too-freaking-long book ( Read more... )

Well, keep in mind I didn't say I WOULDN'T read them. Just that I didn't plan on reading them... I have a zillion-books-long list of books I plan to read, so what I left uncrossed were mostly books already on my mental to-read list. Yes, I probably do judge books by their title... a lot of books I crossed off were "pop" fiction or sci-fi (a.k.a. Stephen King, Terry Prachett and Mercedes Lackey), lesser-known books by authors who became famous for one or two specific books, or books I'd never heard of before. Doesn't mean I wouldn't stumble across one in a bookstore, read the summary and decide to read it. That's what I hated about this list... Lot of titles I didn't know or never heard of. So I DO know my eliminations were very arbitrary ;-)

As for One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest... I KNOWWW I must read it! I even HAVE it... but I think it got left at my parents house during my move to Colorado. Plus it's kind of middle-ish on my to-read list so hopefully I'll be able to finish what I want to read and be able to move on to it.
