I went to the Fruits exhibit at the Edward Day Gallery!
It was the last day and we got our pictures taken, all thanks to my
. It'll be up on the website, I think I heard him say. I feel kinda bad because all the real Fruits people have such nice, impeccable hair and mine has not been cut in months. ...and has not been cut nicely in forever.
Then me and Sarah (I went with my widdle sister, the only one who is also interested in these things. She loved all the colourful things!!!) went trekking 'round the area. We found a great little store for shoes, they sold Converse-like things for $25 and they were all colourful and patchy. Way better than that Nike-owned shitza.
F/X and Peach Beserk are like 'me' stores. Especially F/X. They had this incredible cameoflage jackt with a pink heart on it. So way made, and it better have been since it costed $110!!! :P So that's a save-up-for store..... I'm thinking, B-day present??? XD XD!!
The dresses there, all upstairs were loverly. And well-priced for the fact that they were incredible. The stairway was freaky because of this sparkly, reflectively wallpaper on the side. A little dissorinating, but as soon as you walk up there's rows of frilly, pink dresses.
Alot of black too ^_^.
The male clerk walked out from his desk to check the price of the jacket and this tiny doggy with curly gray hair skamped out after him and followed him from the clothing rack and back to the desk. Even Sarah thought it was cute and she likes to eat dogs :O.
And Peach Beserk is sweat-shop free! You can tell by the dimly lit room in the back filled with young women crouched in front of sewing machines. And to think, if I hadn't given all my money to charity, I could buy new clothes and look pretty. Damn tsunami.
As for the exhibit, Alexisonfire man (the lead singer) said that Japan is to weird looking shoes and the US is to gas station snacks. That's kinda true. The only ones that I thought were weird were these white things that had a flap pulled back or something :S. Not very attractive....
I hafta go watch Monk now. I AM COMPELLED. But my sister is the biggest little goofball ever. She had a plastic aligator that she kept pulling out of her pocket and threatening to bite my head with it. That was pretty random the first time. And her angry dancing. We bobbed up and down making weird noises on the streetcar going down and then we did it with "moustaches". ...So since I did stuff too, I guess I can't just blame weirdness on her..
Who am I kidding? Of course I can :)
