"My goodness Uruha, hurry up in there!" Reita called as he knocked on the door of Uruha's room.
Currently in his apartment, Uruha was getting prepared to meet his one and only victim. Inside of his room, his mind is running around in circles, and for some reason, he think its difficult to do everything this second.
Even picking out clothes.
After endlessly slipping shirts onto himself and then plucking them off over his head several times, he still can't figure out what to wear. Not to mention that his hair is still damp and rustled from his shower a few minutes ago. Sitting underwear only on the ground of his room in front of his closet buried in clothes, he runs his hand through his hair in distress.
"Uruha, if you're not going to come out in one minute I'm coming in okay?"
He knows that Reita's getting frustrated and impatient with him, but what was he supposed to do? He's meeting Reita's roommate for the first time. Isn't he supposed to wear something nice and generally just look good?
"Uruha, I'm coming in RIGHT NOW."
The door was suddenly flung open by Reita. Using the closest shirt he could find, Uruha covered his bare chest with it.
"What the hell! Don't barge in on me like that!" Uruha cried.
"Well, I DID warn you didn't I?" Reita looks down and smiles mockingly, "And I didn't know you wore briefs."
"Oi! Don't look there! I need help picking out something to wear." Getting up while still covering himself, Uruha grabs Reita's wrist and drags him down into the bundle of clothing on the carpeted floor.
"Geez man, it's not that hard. You don't have to wear anything fancy looking. You're just meeting him for the first time."
"But that's the point Rei! I AM meeting him for the first time. Don't I have to look somewhat decent for him?" Uruha panicked.
Reita sighing in annoyance picked up something random from the stash of clothing and tossed it over to Uruha. "Just wear this."
"You didn't even look at it did you." Uruha mumbled. He inspected the shirt; it was a navy-purple polo shirt with white buttons. Sliding it on top of his body, he was then attacked by a pair of jeans with a belt attached to it.
"That could have hit my eye you know..."
"Just put it on already; we're going to be late if you keep complaining like this." Reita snapped.
Giggling while putting on his jeans and buckling the belt, Uruha was reminded about the blonde's stubbornness; that part of him won't ever change.
Standing up on his feet and peering in the mirror from the side of his eye, he looked at himself from top to bottom. He figured that something was missing until a soft object was put on his shoulder. Taking it off of him and spreading it out, in an instant he recognized that it was a black hoodie that he never worn before. He shrugged it on and looked int he mirror again with a frown.
"I still don't think I look good." he pouted.
"You look fine Uruha, now fix your hair. It's a mess." Reita says as he begins to pace towards Uruha's tiny washroom to get a comb.
"My hair looks fine! It's just my clothes..." he whined, knowing that his hair was, in fact, a complete wreck.
"And you were the one who was fussing about looking good." Reita says while combing the back of Uruha's brown hair. "There, now you look decent." he said giving a pat of his friend's back. "Now, let's go."
They both got out of the apartment building, jumped into Reita's car and began to drive to their destination.
Wherever that is.
"Rei, where are we going?" Uruha asked.
"We're going to my place obviously. My roommate is there. Where did you think we were going?" Reita says without peeling his eyes away from the road ahead.
"W-well, I thought...like...I thought we were going to meet him...somewhere else?"
"Uruha, name a place where we would meet my ROOM-mate." Reita said smiling.
"Uhh...uhh...a cafe?"
Though a reasonable answer, Reita smacked his friend lightly on the head.
After what seemed like forever to Uruha, they finally reached Reita's apartment building. Coming from the awkward smelling underground parking lot, they took the elevator up to the 5th floor.
"You know, I've always wondered why we don't take the elevator up to the roof." Uruha mumbled to himself.
"That's because the elevator doesn't lead to the roof dummy." Reita said playfully. As a result, Uruha hit him on the head lightly.
With the 'ding!' sound of the elevator indicating that they had reached Reita's floor. They stepped out as the silver doors opened with a low rumbling sound with the sound of their shoes hitting the floor bouncing off the walls.
The marbled blue walls and the multicoloured carpet filled the hallway; accompanied by the white doors decorated with the golden plates engraved with the owner's last names and room number. Reading the letters on the doors, they were able to locate Reita's flat, with his door labelled with his surname.
"Suzuki..." the brunette whispered to himself without knowing that Reita was unlocking the door. Turning the doorknob with the sound of a click, he pushed the door open to his home sweet home.
Then it hit Uruha that at this very second, he was entering Reita's private space for the first time.
"Just leave your shoes in the front." Reita directed Uruha as they stepped over the door frame and onto the hardwood floor while interrupting his thoughts. Toeing off his shoes, Uruha followed his instructions, temporarily forgetting the reason why he was here.
Telling him to stay where he was, Reita had left the area briefly to get his other friend.
Faint footsteps are heard from the opposite side of the room, though the person creating those sounds is not seen; instead, is covered by the white walls of the inside of the apartment. The noise begins to increase in volume, which makes Uruha more and more anxious by the second. He knows that Reita is going to be there with him when he is being introduced to his roommate, but it makes him nervous anyways.
Reita emerges from the dim hallway with a wide smile on his face. He seems very giddy about this situation; either he's very stoic or he's totally in a different world than Uruha is.
Behind him, appears Uruha's subject. The one that he's been waiting for long, and the one to set him free from his sadness.
He looks up and down of the other's form and keeps a neutral face on the outside, however, inside his heart stiffens.
This was not what he was expecting.
