He shuts the door as he waves a goodbye to his friend, hoping that they will be able to see each other another time. However, behind his smile, he was frustrated, angry and irritated.
Turning around after locking the door shut, he turns to Aoi who is sitting on the couch, with his smile disappearing instantly and transforming into a thin line.
"What's wrong with you Aoi? Don't you have enough brains to know to treat someone nicely the first time you've met them?!" He yells.
"What's wrong with you? You're the one who's bringing them home! Damn it Reita, I don't want to have to talk to some psychiatrist to solve my problems, okay? I don't even want to talk to you about my issues!" Aoi yells back at him.
"He's not a psychiatrist, Aoi. He's a friend of mine."
"And what IF he's a friend of yours? You know I don't like meeting new people."
He sighs in anger and and grabs a bunch of his hair. "We've been friends for four years!"
"So what makes you think that I should treat him well?" Aoi screams as he stands up in fury with his fist clenched. "We've been friends since twenty years ago Reita! Twenty, freaking, years! You treat me like a baby, Rei! All you're doing is making my life worse!"
He inhales and exhales quickly after letting out all his rage on Reita, then realizes that he most definitely hurt Reita even if it was just a little bit. He sighs in shame as his body begins to relax from the tension and his fingers start to go limp.
"I'm sorry Rei, I...I'm just...just...just leave me alone for now okay? I don't want to argue about this anymore" he says as he turns on his heels and walks towards his room, shutting the door quietly behind him.
Reita is left there standing, now relaxed from the fight they had as well. He walks closer to the couch and lets his body fall onto the soft cushions and buries his face into them.
Whenever Reita brought someone to meet Aoi, this always happened. Aoi was always right about him bringing a psychiatrist-like person over and also always denied needing one. Reita wasn't stupid, he knows that his friend cries at night and fibs with a straight face to him about taking his anti-depressants. He knew that he wasn't supposed to control him into being a happier person, but he doesn't ever want to see Aoi leave him forever, at least not now. At least so far, he's alive.
The telephone ring that came from in front of him startled him from his day dreaming. He really didn't want to talk to anyone right now, but he checked the caller ID for the person's number so that he could call them back later. Peeking at the tiny screen on the machine, he recognizes Uruha's phone number and picks it up immediately.
"Hey Uruha."
"Rei, we really need to talk about Aoi right now." Uruha says quickly into the phone.
"Yeah I know, he's reall--"
"This man, THIS MAN, is so rude; and I DO NOT like rude people Reita. Frankly, I do not care if he's depressed or what not. I will not deal with him if he keeps this up with me or you."
"But Uruha, you don't--"
"He either does not have any manners at all or he's plain stupid. I'm not trying to be self centered or anything like that, I'm saying that he should be..."
"Uruha..."
"...treating a guest properly."
"Uruha."
"If he continues with this, I suggest that you get him out of your place imme--"
"URUHA!" Reita yells into the receiver. "DAMN IT, COULD YOU BE QUIET FOR ONE SECOND, PLEASE?"
Uruha stops talking to let Reita speak.
"I've been stupid, I shouldn't have let you come here." he says.
"Why not?" Uruha says in a concerned voice. He can tell there's something wrong.
"Well, it's just that...I've been bringing people home to help Aoi. None of them were able to help him and he's really tired of seeing more and more people. I haven't been giving him enough space."
"And you brought me there, because...?"
"Because you're..."
"I'm..?"
"You're an..."
"A...?" Uruha starts to make a hopeful face which made him look like a duck even though he knew Reita couldn't see it.
"...I'm allowed to call you an angel right?" Reita laughs into the phone.
Uruha stifles his giggle, "Well, if you think of me that way..."
"Yeah, you're an angel, and like I said before, I want to set you free from your agony."
"I'm glad you want to help me Reita, but what about your friend? I mean, if he doesn't want me to, you know, help him then I can always find someone else."
"I know, it really does depend on Aoi but I really want you to stay. He's been suffering for quite a long time and I really want to see him happy again."
"Ahh, I see." Uruha says quietly. "Well, let me know if he wants to see me again, okay?"
"Yeah, alright. See you."
"Bye Reirei, take care!"
Hearing Uruha hang up with the sound of the click on the phone, Reita questions his new nickname given to him by Uruha. "Reirei?"
The sky began to turn into the dark blue shade of the night; with even darker clouds covering the bright moon and stars. The pitter pattering sound of the rain started slow and quiet, gradually increasing in volume and speed as it altered into a rapid and heavy rainfall.
Sitting up on his bed, Reita held a cigarette between his slim fingers against his lips, inhaling and exhaling the smoke and letting it escape out of the open window. The rain making his window sill wet and the room cold.
Soft knocking was heard on his door as he took the cigarette out of his mouth after he sucked on it for a short moment. Knowing it was Aoi, he breathed out the smoke and said, "Come in."
The small click of the door being opened was silent against the sound of the rain. Aoi peeked into the room and looked at Reita carefully observing his current condition before entering the room. He walked slowly and sat on the bed without taking his eyes of Reita's, and Reita's eyes not loosing sight of his either.
Both of them, absentmindedly looking away, sat in silence; with nothing but the sound of the showering rain resonating against the ground, building and window.
"You...want to talk?" Reita asked Aoi after a long deafening silence amoungst them, taking the cigarette and putting it out in the ashtray on the nightstand.
Though dark inside the room, Reita can see Aoi cover his face with the palm of his hands.
"Hey, hey...don't cry okay?" Reita whispers as he gets on his knees from his sitting position and wraps his arms around Aoi's shoulders as he began to weep.
"I'm sorry Reita..." Aoi sobs, "I'm so sorry."
"It's okay, I know you didn't mean it." Reita whispers soothingly at he rubs Aoi's back in circles.
"I've been stupid haven't I? I shouldn't have treated Uruha like that you know? He's your friend Rei...I know you're doing this to help me..." He pauses to wipe his tears, "Can you tell him I'm sorry?"
"As long as you actually talk to him the next time he comes okay?"
Aoi nods.
"Good." He says patting Aoi on the back and starting to release his grasp from him. "Now go to sleep."
Getting on his two feet, Aoi steps over towards the door and whispers a goodnight and thank you to Reita before leaving the room.
Reita exhales in exhaustion. He wishes that there would be one night in which Aoi would be able to be at tranquility and sleep peacefully instead of crying and waking up repeately from nightmares or just shallow sleep. He wishes that there would be a night where Aoi would smile before he went to sleep, instead of keeping a frown, or a straight face even. He wishes that Aoi would stop being in pain all the time and just be able to laugh and smile, even just once would be more than enough for him.
Reita wishes for so many things to happen, so many positive things, and yet for years, none of them have come true.

Waking up to the bright sunlight that shone into his room through the window, Uruha yawned and rubbed his eyes tiredly. He thought about going out, but it was too early, and besides, it was wet. It only stopped raining a few hours ago and the sun had just rose. He stay put on his bed, rolling around in boredom and not knowing what to do.
He jumps and falls off the bed onto the ground when he hears his telephone ring loudly. Grabbing the receiver from the table beside him, he presses the talk button and puts it at his ear.
"Hello?"
"Hey Uru, you awake?" It was Reita.
"Well, I'm kind of answering the phone right now, so yes. What's up?" He says as he starts to get up and untangle himself from his blanket.
"It's about Aoi."
He freezes.
"He wants to see you again."
Uruha tumbles onto the ground once again, but this time, from utter happiness.
