God, I love this. All of these things we've been thinking about in the back of our heads about a black chick dating a white guy with a black kid in the mix just spilled out, and it was everything we were thinking.

In some ways, Christa feels like the New Jess. Not that they are alike personality-wise; I... huh. Not sure how to explain it, and I hope you get what I mean. At any rate, I love it.

This feels so real and tough and sweet. You two are doing such a bang up job of broaching really touchy subjects with wit and frankness. You've re-spun the characters into very different creatures and it totally works. I can hear their voices clearly. Fabulous job!
