Tatouage?
At long last, I got my scanner working, so this is my potential-tattoo design.
I started with this small, fuzzy picture of a wall plaque from the web:
I then enlarged, defined, re-worked, re-weaved, retraced, and shaded.
Essentially, I worked the hell out of the damn thing for ages. This is the basic outcome:
Now, I am in love. It fascinates me; it's all one eternal knot!
Trace it with your finger - seriously! It's fun.
I think it's beautiful (minus the pencil-sketch quality).
So, I have my design (finally), I have a studio, and I have a price.
I can't believe Planet Ink tried to sell me on it being $1000. Assholes. I'm not ignorant.
The shading would obviously be much smoother, and the dots at the bottom would not be included.
It wouldn't be as big as it looks on the page, either. Maybe 4 inches tall.
Now I'm just in the final decision stages - i.e. am I completely sure I want to have this on me for the rest of my life? Hmmm.
p.s. - if you want the design, just ask. it's my baby; so it feels like artwork to me.
