Taffy

We found out today that one of our regular customers died on the weekend.

Her name was Taffy.  She was one of the sweetest, cutest, and peppiest little old ladies I've ever met.  I always loved seeing her in the mornings over the past year - she always seemed to have a sparkle in her eye, and this knowing smile, as if she knew what 'it' was all ( Read more... )

As much as the old Carlingwood ladies can be annoying, some of them are pretty wonderful.

i know exactly what you're talking about...

We can only hope to leave that sort of impact on the people around us

As a sidenote, talk to your grandparents boys and girls, let the people you care about know that you do...now's the time :-)

Exactly.
Although with people you're not related to (ie customers), it's often hard to find an approprate moment to say something like that and have it taken in a non-awkward way... :P

It definitely wasn't a party... hence the Spice Girls. lol
The girls were over, two of whom brought Bob and Paul.
Everyone went home by 12:30.
Trust me, when I have a party, you'll know about it.
