Little planes like that are both amazing and terrifying to me at the same time. I don't think my stomach nor my nerves could handle it.

Great post! Great photos. I once flew in a plane like that with my brother-in-law and sister. We flew around Santa Barbara up the coast. When my sister took over the controls I didn't know it. Funny how I started feeling sick when I finally learned she was flying the plane.

Back when I was skydiving, they used to judge the wind over a drop zone by tossing out a weighted hi-vis yellow cloth streamer (or a partial roll of toilet paper - your choice ;) out the window. You should proabably include something like that in your flight bag if you intend to do many landings on the playa in the future.

It depends on how much those people weigh. Steve's plane will hold six, but will only realistically hold four adults.
