But I liked E3. It wasn't a great movie, but it was a good Star Wars movie.

It wasn't really on my radar either. I saw the first of the new three, hated it and gave up hope. I eventually saw the second one in the cheap theater. I didn't care all that much about this one, but several folks seemed to like it.

Rick McCallum is a soulless bastard. I suspect that he's the primary reason that I-III sucks.
Liam Neeson is a wonderful actor and did a fantastic job in spite of the poor direction. Ewan McGregor passed ok for a young Alec Guinness, but I felt like he never had a grip on the character. Natalie Portman was cool as Amidala in the first one, but that's likely the result of the costume department. So yeah, the casting sucked.
I thought the end bit was a bit cheesy. None of the "tying in" really impressed me because I've known the backstory since I was 12. There were a couple of things that I liked in this one aside from the score, which has always been wonderful. Watching R2D2 get some action was pretty cool and the part where yoda smacked the Imperial guards was neat. Everything else was just kinda, "eh."
