We had a great time last night with triskele_moon and tholen. How great? Well they didn't leave until almost 1 in the morning and Scott was still up. I haven't seen Scott be that sociable since...well...ever.

The guy heading the brewer's guild in the SCA is a nice guy called Ben. He's good people. I mentioned wanting to go to those too so I could learn to make mead, but the meetings are on a Tuesday night, when I have Finnish class. :(

You know, you don't need to take classes to make mead. Like it says in the Nike commercials, just do it. You can get tips, insights and ideas from a brewing class, but the only way you'll really learn how to brew is to mix up a must and start it fermenting.

I need to write an article on basic, non-pretentious meadmaking. It really isn't rocket science. If you can scramble eggs, you can brew mead.
