I LOVE ♥ this part "Of course, he’d done his homework before...those closest to them were aware of. " that paragraph is so awesome and just sets Ezra's character up great! Also great job on letting us see the Chris/Vin interaction, poor Ez.

You know what I REALLY want to know is where did Ez go? What is his new job? CIA? Back to FBI? Army/Navy/Air Force/Marines? A new secret agency? So many ideas...and that could play into a sequel. (hint hint hint)

A few new errors "that *there* had ever been fears" , "reflect back *at* him in the gazes of his friends. *From* each and every one, but one."

And forgot to remove [] "Because as she had pointed out softly, [delete that] she‘d never" and here "that] folly."

I'm happy you liked. Your no-humor request threw me for a loop. Normally the muse likes to mix the angst with a little bit of humor, but without it...she really let poor Ezra get his heart broken. I suppose there will have to be a sequel just to mend it. :)

We love him when he's hurting because he's just so fricking beautiful I suppose. And he's got that heart-breaking, self-depreciating smile. Love that smile. Too bad he has to have his heart hurt to bring it out. Poor, poor Ezra.
