SO, that episode was definitely an improvement over ... well, most of last season! We'll see, we'll see.

Nina has been nothing but amazing for the show.

And aww, I don't think Annie got much of a chance to do anything this week, which is more because Whithouse chose to focus so much on Mitchell in purgatory rather than Annie in purgatory (much to my irritation). So I was disappointed there, but I don't think Annie's any less amazing for that than she's ever been. I just hope moving forward, she gets to do more.

Oh my God, SO MUCH THIS. Everything you said, basically. I was so pleased with it, overall. That scene where Mitchell's waiting for Annie in the hallway, and then she's silhouetted in the light and she runs to him! Cheesy, maybe, but I ate it up.

I expected them to draw out Annie in Purgatory and The Rescue for at least two episodes. I'm glad they didn't, but I also feel like her trip to purgatory wasn't very much about her at all.

Totally, totally agree with everything here. The only thing that saved s2 was the finale and maybe George and Annie's friendship near the end. Mitchell made me so angry last series, and I think the writers have forgotten how to write him. I know that things got heavier and all of this has taken place in what, months, weeks? At least the time between s1 and s2, but he did have his brooding moments in s1 they weren't overwhelming. He still had that lighter, goofier side. It seems to have resurfaced a bit now that Annie's back, I hope it lasts because that's the Mitchell I love ( ... )
