wellll, by "watched" I mean "fast-forwarded through everything but Brittany/Santana and Burt", oh I do love that tumblr pre-screens shows and gifs the relevant bits for me so quickly.

pretty cool that our girlfriends are such good friends, right? )

Thing is for me it IS fine if a bisexual woman chooses a man, see: me being fine with everything Kalinda on TGW chooses to be. But not every bisexual narrative is like Kalinda's unfortunately.

I'm so so SO invested in Santana right now. I didn't expect this to ever be taken seriously beyond references sprinkled in about how much she and Brittany like to make out. I mean I always figured Santana was just being Santana and scared, but I didn't expect to actually see it spelled out like that. Yayyyyyy.

Haha! The reason I gave up on Glee to begin with was the TERRIBLE writing and continuity, and gross tokenism and the fact that the marginalized characters hardly ever get to sing lead. And the fact that I hate Will more than I have hated any character in a very long time. And I imagine that had I watched the rest of the episodes of this season, I'd be very very confused. (Brittany/Artie? Santana/Sam? Bzuh? also ARTIE IS GROSS ON A HUMAN LEVEL, THERE'S ALSO THAT.)

that said I think Brit/Santana is notable for being one of the few times Glee ever wrote women positively IN GENERAL, the first time Glee ever acknowledged lesbians exist apart from hotgirlsmakingoutsometimes (because Holly asked them if they might be in this episode), the first time Glee ever acknowledged that bisexuality is real and valid, and those are all good and positive things. I just wish this were on a show where we could be reasonably sure it wouldn't get ruined, possibly next week even. LOL

My brainz, you have invaded them. Seriously, I gave up Glee in early season 2 for the SAME reascns (especially the hating Will part and I'd throw in Artie, too) but I watched the S/B scenes in this episode to see what everyone was talking about. And man, was I impressed?! Lesbians! Bisexuality! Real love between two women who were actually treated somewhat decently! It'll all go to hell really quickly but it happened and was incredible! Also, Naya needs to get off this show asap. She's WAY WAY too good for it.

I haven't watched Glee since early in S2, but I think I shall have to catch up, or at least watch the relevant scenes on youtube, because cheerios in love is all I have ever wanted from this show.

It's ridiculous how long I've shipped this, possibly since the first time they were ever on screen, so yeah. GET THEE TO YOUTUBE (don't watch the rest though, can't recommend).

I have to admire the promptness of the youtube uploaders. Oh, Santana, you and your secret ~feelings make me weak at the knees.

I guess Holly was fine but Glee's discourse about sexuality, about sex-positivity, about sex-ed and celibacy and all that has always rubbed me wrong in ways I can't begin to unpack. That's everything from this celibacy club, to Emma's issues with sex and how they're a running gag, to the extent that for all the talk about sex positivity, female characters are shamed or punished for sex more often than not. By the narrative, by other characters, etc. And yet they treat the idea of abstinence as a joke too, so it's shamed if you do, mocked if you don't. So idk, Holly probably is a step in the right direction, but I'd be lying if I said I cared enough at this point, about anything that isn't Brittany and Santana. LOL I MEAN I FEEL I CAN ADMIT THIS TO YOU MIA ( ... )

Artie and I were over back when he was with Tina. Then when I saw how he treated Brittany after she had sex with him, that was probably one of the things that made me stop watching early this season.

Again, you steal my thoughts! I stopped watching RIGHT AFTER that episode because just...NO.

I quit watching Glee after like, Idek, episode five of the first season. lol But I enjoy these two in picspam and gif form. Tumblr is seriously the best at filtering most of the bullshit out. Well, most of the bullshit. lol

LOL tumblr filters out some bullshit, but often brings in its own special kind of bullshit to replace it.

Haha I can't go down this road with Glee again. First and last full ep I'm watching in a while; it'll be Brit/Santana superedits from here on out.
