So, Being Human 3x08, "The Wolf-shaped Bullet", has basically induced a feelings attack and caused my opinion on this ENTIRE season to do a total 180. I haven't even been bothered to review the episodes since the premiere because I've been behind but I'm so glad I caught up this weekend so I could watch yesterday; I would've hated to be spoiled for ( Read more... )

The camera angles for this show are almost a character in themselves. And the score, and the lighting and colors, all together you just FEEL EVERYTHING MORE.

The George/Mitchell scene in both my rewatches was when I started crying and didn't stop till the end. And it's one of those episodes where you go back to the beginning and you see stuff that makes you cry even more once you know what happens.

LAWD TAKE ME HIGHER, basically

My heart is broken, Heather. But it's a good hurt.

ngl, this show is one of the best things I've ever watched. MAYBE THIS DOES NOT SAY A LOT FOR MY TV TASTES, BUT STILL. I feel like I need to rewatch it all from the start of the first season.

*SOBS INTO YOUR SHIRT*

I feel like this season was near-flawless storytelling like I've never seen before. S2, I didn't feel the same way about.

S1 physically PAINS me to look back on at this point. But eventually I will. When I need a good cry.

Ngl, I'd kind of hoped Herrick would turn Nancy into a vampire instead of killing her, like I had some reason to think (I don't remember why, though!) for a minute or two.

Tom, whom I find just so earnestly adorable and loyal and strangely hot. LOL.
Heh heh. Me too

I can't believe they let Nina AND the baby live. That's like unheard of.
I so thought that baby was toast. Wonder if its recovery (like Nina's) is due to its wolf abilities? (I personally had been wondering if it would still be all human since Nina and George are human originally too)

+ I'll never be over Nancy's death, it's not just that she died, it was the close calls and emotional manipulation of it, looking back it's like she was a toy on a string between Mitchell and Herrick that got snapped up in the end. It's not QUITE as bad as that because she was brilliant and we got to peek into her life and her perspective and I feel like we even knew WHO she was by the end. But it still hurt. I want vampire!Nancy fic. But god, the way it happened was grotesque and horrifying. :/

Tom! <3333 Michael Socha is hot, I bet he is even hotter when he's not being made up to look like he lives in a van with no shower ( ... )

I was amazed how this show could have me crying like a baby over a character who has been pissing me off since series 2. Just, just, everyone.

So often character deaths are just used as a cheap shock, especially in sci fi/fantasy where they can bring them back, but here it became so obvious it had to happen and so final, following through to the heartbreaking conclusion that felt right.

Completely agreed. Part of my joy over this episode comes from simply comparing it to how so many other shows have and would do it differently. I say it was perfect but of course nothing is; it's still kind of amazing how much better it turned out than anything I've seen in this genre.

It's sort of presented as an actual sickness, his vampirism, like an addiction. The symptoms were textbook, even. And it really came through, especially in the end, how much he really does love George and Annie under all that sickness, even as he used them and manipulated them and hid behind them. And it really came through how much they both love him, even as they started to realise and accept what he was, what he'd always be. That's exactly what was so heartbreaking about his ending, because it NEEDED to happen, and everyone knew it, but they still loved him. I was nearly sobbing ( ... )

and I LOVED that Nina said that's what they'd remember him for

Yes!! That part I forgot to mention, the perfection of that line, augh.

There's NO excuse for TW not to give Annie a substantial narrative next series. I'm talking A-PLOT OR GTFO, at this point, you know? It's long overdue and this girl can carry a show.

This will be a MAJOR factor in my opinion of series 4. If Annie doesn't get a HUGE storyline, Toby will hear from me :D
