Gonna do a quick friday five meme I spotted on dreamon_dreamer's journal!

lasts.

1. What was the last book you read, and what is your opinion of it?
A Feast for Crows by George R R Martin. It's probably my favorite of the series so far, tied with A Storm of Swords. My issue with the ASOIAF books is that it often takes me a ridiculously long time to get through ( Read more... )

The Wire!!! I'm still stuck in the middle of Season 2 and ... have been there for months but everyone keeps telling me that I will love Season 4 and so I am just sort of impatiently fidgety even though everything is my own fault.

True Blood (I've officially and permanently broken up with that show)

We should make badges.

Keep at it! I love Season 2 on balance but I realize that the Sobotkas are freaking annoying and that detracts from the experience. But YES DO FINISH IT. I feel like you can't possibly have reached All Prologue yet or you wouldn't still be stuck. XD Also the sooner you finish S2 the sooner you reach S3 which is OBJECTIVELY THE BEST SEASON OMG.

Heh I would make a badge but number of places where I could wear a badge that said FUCK TRUE BLOOD FOREVER is pretty small. *g*

The thing with Season 2 is that theoretically I should be interested. LABOR UNIONS! DISCUSSIONS OF CLASS! AND THE INTERRELATEDNESS OF CLASS AND RACE BUT ALSO LABOR UNIONS! LABOR! LABOR! THE DEATH OF LABOR IN THE COUNTRY! And I don't mind Frank and I don't mind Nick, but Ziggy is fucking ANNOYING. And he's not really there for anything except to be comic relief at this point and I am just bleh about him. But the docks are also kind of a weird setting. I don't know. Maybe this is leftover sadness feelings from D'Angelo dying.

Hahahaha WEAR IT EVERYWHERE.

Fullmetal Alchemist was absolutely wonderful, definitely one of my favorite mangas. You're going to love the ladies in it.

I've wanted to see Attack the Block for mooooooonths and it still shows no signs of ever playing anywhere near me. :((((((

Uggghhh True Blood. This whole season made me feel bad, but that finale... uggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh. Could not stop replaying those nightmarish last few minutes in my head. ;_____; THE WORST. And then the other day EW.com had an interview with Rutina Wesley and she's signed on for next season?!?!?!??!?!?!? Probs as a ghost but... like... :(

Attack the Block! All the reviews I read have made me see stars and hearts so I shall Get On That immediately.

Unrelated question: Where you one of the peeps on tumblr talking about the Inheritance Trilogy by N.K. Jemisin? I can't remember now and I just read the first two books and I wanna talk about them with someone because heeeeeeeee *____*

Around the same time, or close enough that I'm not sure which was first, I finished volume 1 of the Fullmetal Alchemist manga. Delightful.

MY JOY, PLEASE BASK IN IT *__*

Attack the Block has been on my 'To Watch' list for at least a month. I would have gotten around to it sooner, but its theatrical release date just kind of came and went, didn't it? I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it, and will definitely look into finding a download or DVD rental sometime soon!
