Happy New Year!

I hope all of you had a great holiday season, and I'm glad to be able to update for once...It's been a good Christmas and New Year for me, except for the slight disappointment of having gingivitis, which meant a good deal of pain, one trip to the hospital for first aid painkillers on Christmas Day, and one trip to the doctor's on Boxing Day. Thanks for your good wishes, all the best for 2013 to you and yours! I like the extended versions of LOTR because they explore the characters more. If only they would have extended versions for the Harry Potter films, as well.
I shudder to think of all I would have missed in life if not for antibiotics. Some flu would have taken me out by the time I was ready for preschool, probably. I can't wrap my head around the fact that there are people refusing to get their kids vaccinated now:(.

Snap! I've been watching the Lord of the Rings films too (well, only watched the first one so far), though only the theatrical versions.

Gingivitis sounds rubbish. I hope it didn't mess up your holiday too much.

Thanks, it wasn't too terrible in the end. It's when you're sick that you really appreciate not having to live alone. Have you read the LOTR books?

Yeah, I loved them when I was 12/13. Haven't read them in years though. I seem to remember them being a bit of a slog in places, though maybe that's just 'cause I was quite young.

I'm currently re-reading The Hobbit though and loving it. So much better than the movie which made too many unnecessary changes for my liking.
