   I just returned from the dentist, where I had the dubious pleasure of getting the root that's been bothering me pulled out, and in a relatively painless way, too. It has messed up the holidays just a bit, but with any luck, it won't bother me much, once I recover from the surgery. We don't use nitrous oxide much here in Finland, so I only got

I was in luck, I guess, but the pain meds are good, too. I did go to to the party on Saturday, although I probably shouldn't have. And yes, we're watching Poirot films with my parents every weekend. They're quite popular in Finland, and they are shown on broadcast television almost every year. I was so excited to hear they are going to film the remaining Poirot books too. Suchet is great.

One thing that annoys me about Pinterest is that many of the tips and recipes are for stuff that isn't available outside the U.S. I see why that is, but it does bug me to see a thing that would be awesome, if only...

It's a socially acceptable form of hoarding, I guess.
That's probably the best thing I have ever seen someone say about Pinterest. I'm so anti-hoarding that I will actually unpin things I've tried and hated (after leaving a bad review comment).

I love any kind of cleaning things pin. Clean your shower with Dawn or clean your microwave with vinegar! LOVE IT.

I'm going to try the vinegar tip some day. I'm more of a pinner of interesting but impractical stuff. I like miscellaneous facts, and good quotations, and anything pretty. I very seldom unpin things, but looking at how well organized and spectacular some of those boards are, I might have to start being more selective.
