Hi! Good to hear from you :)

Your course sounds good, and if it offers a fair few opportunities when you're done then even better.

Good to hear from you too! I'll try to catch up with all of you, but it's going to take a while. I hope all is well with you:).

And yes, I think this is a good career choice because there are all sorts of opportunities out there, and we won't run out of people to take care of in a while...

Thank you! Yes, I've been very busy with knitting during the Easter holidays. I made some triangular scarves that I may have to store until autumn, because the weather has taken a very summery turn all of a sudden. Mostly I've been studying, and surfing in my free time.

Welcome back!!! People come and go on here!! Cool stuff you are studying, what made you chose it? I'm asking cause I'm a social worker working as a probation officer now :)
When I studied it was not at the university but on an academy level, I didn't have to chose any majors yet. Glad you already know what you like to do, just keep it open and see where it takes you! I never wanted to work with criminals but ended up there after being in a school and counselling immigrants.

Thank you! I chose to study social work partly because two of my close friends work in that field, and their work sounded interesting. Another reason is financial, because I really need to get a job. But I think I have some kind of vocation for it as well, not merely for helping people, but also for making society a little better, as opposed to making my boss earn more money...
I think a lot of us at school go through many phases in what kind of customers they would like to work with. I started out by not wanting to work with the elderly, or the disabled, and now I'm thinking of doing exactly that, at least over the summer... I will try to keep an open mind.
How do you feel about working with criminals compared to when you only studied about it? Have you been surprised in any way?
