I got this from melstra who got it from chite :

Comment to this post and I will give you 5 subjects/things I associate you with. Then post this to your LJ and elaborate on the subjects given.

1) Your interests list includes "anglican" but not "episcopal." I always considered that Anglican was simply what the Episcopal faith was called outside the US...but I know that's not precisely true, since there are some anglican churches in the US. What's the difference?

I suppose that generally used to be true, but it hasn't really been that way for over 30 years now. The Episcopal Church has gone against the Biblical and traditional teachings of the Anglican Church at every opportunity. First, in small steps (like changing the wording of some of the traditional hymns and prayers to make them more "politically correct") and then in bigger steps (the ordination of women, for example) until finally, the Episcopal Church has essentially thumbed its nose at the Anglican Communion throughtout the world and ordained as the "head" of the Episcopal Church a woman who is not a Christian. This is why Anglican churches have started popping up everywhere in the US over the past 15 years or so - many people want to remain faithful to the Biblical teachings of the Anglican Church and leave the Episcopal Church that they feel has essentially become a secular free-for-all serving the whims of whomever is in charge at the time (or not necessarily in charge, but just the loudest). I shall expand on this later, perhaps, if you're at all interested, but for now, I will happily shut up and go have my dessert ;)

2) What is your favorite thing to play on the guitar?

I don't know if I have a favorite, although the old Bluegrass tune "Red Haired Boy" is certainly toward the top. I love playing Folk music (Peter, Paul & Mary, John Denver, etc) and Praise/Christian music. Right now, I'm teaching myself a Michael W. Smith song for church.

3) What was it like to live in East Tennessee? How did you choose to go to school there?

I loved living in East Tennessee. It kind of felt like "home." The weather was much milder, but I still got to enjoy the four seasons. And the people were very friendly.

I chose to go to school there beacuse I applied to several grad programs, and that one seemed to "fit" and also accepted me unconditionally. I also knoew someone who went there and liked it, and I had a few friends there.

4) What was your very first thought the first time you met your husband?

"Wow - who's that cute guy on the couch?"

5) What was the last thing your crocheted?

Well, if I told you that, then I'd have to kill you ;) It's actually top secret...or maybe I just forgot.
