Great painting frankiepaquin August 11 2008, 19:19:44 UTC
This is really really nice! I love the colors and texture in the foreground....really wonderful stuff! I am thinking about getting some oil paints. I have mainly used acrylic because its safe around kids and less smelly. I have discovered though, that I really like to get the paint on the canvas with a knife and let the paint do a lot of the work there, instead of on the palette. So I think oil will be fun because I usually want the paint to stay workable longer than acrylic will allow. What kind of oil do you use? I was thinking Winsor and Newton or Grumbacher. Have a great day!

Thank you so much Frankie. I do use Windsor Newton and Grumbacher oils. Plus I use Liquin as a medium when need in the brush work, I love it!

Enjoy the exploration of oils. There is also an odorless turpentine too.
