I want to boycott BP. Really I do. Unfortunately, it's a trickle-down effect. Just as it is projected that the state of Florida will lose $10.5b just from the hit to our tourism, BP isn't the one who flounders if I don't buy gas at the corner market. I tried, too. I was going to boycott BP, too, but then my car ran out of gas and I had enough to go ten miles maybe - if the sensor was right & I went to the closest gas station because the last thing I need is to be stuck without gas with two kids in the car...and it was a BP. Sorry, animals & fish & wildlife & people & world. I only put in a little gas. And I'll be careful with it and not waste it. Hopefully it was a locally owned station anyway.
