Last night I went to church at Brentwood - where I actually have membership, but haven't been attending for several months because I've felt out of place there. I am not defending or making an excuse for them, but my bets are that none of them have ever REALLY thought about what they're saying. I think it was probably mass-regurgitation: a bunch of people who grew up in the same church fueling each other's fires to mindlessly regurgitate the same old argument they've heard their whole lives.

Hey, you gotta choose your battles hon. I must say, I am quite impressed that a) you saw the movie, b) you totally made those kids think c) I don't know if I would have even spoke up. I don't often try to change people's minds, especially if they seem pretty ignorant. But you are a strong person to do this.

that is such a good point about causality! i've never thought of that. and yeah, the bible totally condemns whoremongering, too. dang whoremongers.

but i probably wouldn't have said anything, cause i am a wuss. good job for not being a wussay!
