Hah, I agree completely on this one. I've always thought of petitions as a camp little formality, never to be taken seriously. Anyone can look at a column of signatures and say, "So what?" All one does is represent the opposition in a tedious way, and then with room for falseness.

By the way, if you were on Facebook, you would know that every other group is a 'petition' for something superfluous and stagnant, as that's how the sanguine and litigious roll. It's silly. For example, there are people on there blur-eyed enough to be adamant about the progress that 'a teenager on Facebook' can push in regard to, say, the Darfur Genocide. Oy, that's a hot topic these days - too bad the time it takes for one's 'Save Darfur' shirt to arrive in the mail is the time it takes for Arab Islamics to loot the villages of faithless blacks, whom they proceed to slaughter. Hypocrisy will always exist, in my opinion.

Up
