I'm so lazy nowadays. I post little soundbites of my life over on Facebook, and I keep thinking, "I should post something of substance on Livejournal" then I get distracted by the children or something shiny.  My apologies.

It's been a month since my gallbladder was evicted. The surgery recovery was pretty easy, and I am thankful it is gone.

The preschool starts after Labor Day. It's like the only school here in Georgia that does. I understand they want to get training in, and most of their kids go to public schools. It's been nice to have this one-on-one time with Katie, but ... I'm ready for Mommy time. I'm a greedy b****. What can I say?

dear gods, woman! no coffee? how do you survive? i will have to write up a research grant immediately so that gall bladder patients can have their coffee with cream!

I can have coffee, but I pay for it immediately afterwards. I can just have one cup a day, and I really have to crave it. :(

They're breeding super-geniuses! :D Seriously, that's why I fiercely guard my daughter's downtime. I don't do the flash cards, I don't do anything but the absolutely required homework, etc.. When she is not at school, she is to be playing, doing art, vegging, reading, or doing nothing. She is so tuckered out by Fridays that she will conk out during her beloved post-school cartoon fix!
