Being back in the shire is sooo nice :D but I'm feeling completely pooped at the moment and think I need another weekend to recover from this one
( Read more... )
Advice would be most heartily welcome :) I'm feeling a little bit lost in the sea of things that need to be organised and Nick is no help with decisions >.<
Did you buy or make most of the things for your wedding?
P.S. How are you? I can't remember the last time we spoke :( What have you been up to?
I made the table name cards and the place cards as well as the orders or service, though we got the invites printed.
We also bought TescoValue wine glasses and packets and packets of white chocolate maltesers and used them as the favours on the tables for people to munch.
Apparently the average UK wedding is now £15,000 and we managed it on £7,000 so we must have done something right!
We didn't have a photographer (one of my friends did that) but we did have a videographer as we wanted to have something to keep for the day.
I'm sure there's more but I can't think right now! If you need/want to ask anything please do and I might be able to answer specifics :D
I can't remember the last time we spoke either, we should make a bit more of an effort :)
We're planning on making all the stationary ourselves, I'm making the cake and Bex is doing the flowers.
The average price has gone up now, I think. At least all the magazines suggest you can't have a good wedding for less than £20,000! You should write a book on how to organise a wedding-for-less - just think how big the wedding market is ;)
We should make more of an effort *nods* The only problem is having no internet in birmingham, hence the long delay in reply :(
