Common knowledge? This is the first time I've heard that. Even if the notebook is common knowledge, what happens when my alternate steps in? It'll be obvious they're working together, which could draw suspicion onto me.

No way that's known to everyone.
Dying is probably the only way out, but the cuffs will stop that before it happens. Most of the time, at least.
