Being Irish, his skin is extremely pale to the point where he might just be able to camouflage himself in the snow if he wears an all-white outfit to go along with it. His eyes are a particular shade of blue with a hint of green. Lockon's brunette hair falls down to his shoulders, slightly wavy in its style. When not in his flight suit, the Meister is most often found in an outfit consisting of dark blue pants, a green t-shirt, and a reddish vest with light cream-colored fur around the collar. Most importantly, Lockon is always found wearing a pair of black gloves. As a sniper, he places a great deal of importance on protecting his hands so that his abilities will not be hampered, and only ever really takes his gloves off when bathing.
Personality: Lockon is essentially the glue that holds the Meisters together. Generally easy-going and laid back, he appears confident (though not overly so to the point of haughtiness) and easygoing in things ranging from social situations to missions. He acts as the big brother figure of the group. He'll keep an eye out on everyone, always looking out for them and ready to lend a hand, a shoulder to lean on, or some brotherly advice when they need it. His personality is generally warm, a smile often found on his face, his general appearance and air giving the reassuring presence he seeks to provide. The Meisters don't always get along, and he often acts as a mediator for arguments, doing his best to talk sense into the others and keep everything running smoothly.
However, there is a flip-side to him. Though they rarely surface in the public eye (and even then only under particular stressful situations), he holds within him an obsession with revenge for the death of his family. Mention the word terrorism around him, and it's unlikely that you'll be seeing any sort of smile on his face. He harbors a deep hatred and resentment towards terrorists, and part of why he joined Celestial Being was to hopefully prevent events such as the one that killed his family from happening again.
Abilities/Strengths: When it comes to physical abilities, Lockon's greatest skills lay in sniping. He is an expert marksman both on foot and in his Gundam, able to hit targets from extreme distances (going as far as surface-to-space). He is trained in piloting mobile suits, though it's doubtful said skill will come much into play at Template. Personality-wise, though a part of it is just a front, he is able to be strong for his friends and help them when they need it most.
Weaknesses: While he is an excellent sniper, he does have a weakness when it comes to moving targets. Stationary, he'll barely if ever miss. But once his target is moving, especially fast, his accuracy sharply drops. It is because of this that he is weak in one-on-one combat (and close combat, for that matter), much better at serving as support position. When it comes to his personality, his weakness comes in the form of his obsession for revenge. It's that very thirst for vengeance that leads him to take reckless actions that ultimately end up in his death.
History: Lockon Stratos was born in Ireland on March 3, 2283, as Neil Dylandy. He wasn't the only child born to the Dylandy family that day, as he has a twin, Lyle. Later on, he would gain a little sister named Amy. Much of his early life was normal, a typical happily family life. It was when he was fourteen that disaster struck. While out on a trip with his family, he and Lyle somehow got separated from his parents. Before they could reunite with the rest of their family, a bomb was detonated in the building by a terrorist group. Their parents and Amy were killed in the blast, leaving the two boys as the only survivors of the family. Even though Lyle survived as well, at some point after, the two separated and Lockon cut off contact with his brother. The exact reason is at this point still unknown.
His adolescence is also mostly unknown right now. At some point in his early adulthood, he was chosen by Veda to be a Gundam Meister of Celestial Being. Fueled by the anger and resentment left over from his past, he became a Meister and worked towards Celestial Being's goal of bringing about a peaceful world through armed intervention.
As the oldest of the Meisters, he generally acted as team leader and big brother, looking out for the others. His sniping skills were put to good use in his Gundam, Dynames, as he continued to utilize his abilities even within the mobile suit. Lockon also gained a partner in the form of a robot named Haro, who always accompanies him on missions to act as support.
It was some time into their missions that Lockon learned from the Trinities that Setsuna, his teammate, was part of the KPSA, the group responsible for the bombing that killed his parents and little sister. Lockon confronted him about it shortly after finding out with a gun pointed at the younger Meister's head, when he pulled the trigger, he merely shot at the space next to him. Though still angered, he realized that Setsuna was not the enemy. Rather, his main target was the leader of the KPSA, Ali al-Saachez.
In a showing of just how much he looks out for his fellow Meisters, Lockon throws himself in the way of an attack aimed at Tieria in the middle of a harsh battle in order to save the life of the distracted pilot. He loses use of his eye in doing this, and refuses to recuperate for the three weeks needed to completely heal, choosing instead to be available to continue fighting.
His final battle was against the man he sought revenge on most, Ali al-Saachez. Though injured with his sniping abilities greatly decreased by the loss of his right eye, he was overcome by anger and the need for vengeance and decided to fight anyway. Unfortunately, though he fought hard, he was eventually overcome, and killed in an explosion.
