The Orange CRUSH

So, the Denver Broncos are 6-0. I realize this pisses off everyone here, except don. However, I just wanted to say holy wow, it's nice to have a good team again. Tonight's game was great because we always lose in san diego. And i hate the pompousness of phillip rivers. i gotta say that even though kyle orton might not be the althete jay cutler was ( Read more... )

Honestly I haven't had a ton of time to watch football this year (only 2 Steelers games + a handful of other games here and there) but I must say that the Vikings are exciting. Glad to see the Pats struggle every once in a while (though the 59-0 or whatever it was this weekend wasn't exactly struggling). I haven't seen the Broncos at all so I can't comment, but 6-0 does seem a bit above the normal (post Elway) standard in Denver. Though I don't think I'll ever be as pro-Broncos as I was during the Jake Plummer era... No man can EVER replace Jake the Snake in my heart.

59-0 is pretty fun, also playoff baseball needs to happen during weekdays more often so there isn't a clusterfuck of me changing back and forth between multiple football and baseball games

I also realize that I used to hate peyton manning and eli manning for that matter, I think because Peyton was always such a threat to the Patriots hegemony and also because of the credit Eli got without having ever accomplished anything. Now I've come to respect both of them for their accomplishments although I still think Eli is a bitch for complaining his way into a trade with the Giants. I don't think I can ever forgive him for that.

Also does anyone remember when Drew Brees was the worst qb in the league?

i find it odd that my brain figured out what jimp meant in about 2 seconds yet i cant remember my keys 50% of the time.

and yes, steelers definitely made me jimp this weekend.

colts, pats, steelers, saints all look unstoppable right now...bengals, broncos, packers, vikings look pretty nice too

brett favre in green bay next weekend...ooooooooo draaaammmmaaaa

it's been a fun season for me so far, but college ball has always outranked pro ball for me in every sport. in the nfl the two most exciting things for are eli manning continuing to prove his mettle and brett favre showing he can still take names as a viking. now that i think about it, neither of those offer all that much excitement week-to-week, but they're general trends that continue to make me happy.

speaking of making me happy, i was stoked the first 3 weeks of college season when jacory harris was making plays like a true heismann candidate. hell, he even made the watch lists. i was all like, "yeah suck it marve. suck it coker, your qb recruits both suck dick compared to this dynamo." since then the explosion has subsided a little, but i still think he's one of the best passers in his conference. has awesome pocket awareness too.
