Character: Kyouyama Anna
Series:
Shaman King (manga)
Character Age: 14
Canon: Anna, like most of the characters in Shaman King, is... a shaman; that is, someone who provides a link between the living world and the spirit world by communicating with ghosts. More specifically, Anna is a type of traditional Japanese shaman called an itako, which means she has the ability to summon spirits from anywhere, including heaven and hell. Through family arrangements, she's engaged to marry Asakura Yoh, the grandson of the itako who adopted and raised her. The driving force behind Yoh's goal of becoming Shaman King (one who can access the will of the "Great Spirit" and make dreams come true), Anna is constantly putting him through merciless training to prepare him for the trials ahead.
Whether you're living or dead, Anna is not someone to mess with. She's aloof, commanding, and always ready to give someone a good slap or punch if they show her disrespect. But she does also have a nice side for those who earn her respect and stay in her good graces; and despite her temper, she's good at remaining level-headed in times of crisis. Most of all, she truly loves her fiance and has complete faith that he will one day become the Shaman King.
OKAMI PUNCH!!!
Well. That was... satisfyingly disgusting. Although I have to say, if none of these zombies can put up a fight before my fist sends their head fifty feet away from their neck, it's no wonder whatever perverted necromancer they've got controlling them won't show his face. I can hardly imagine what sort of pathetic training program his fiancee must have put him through. I'm willing to bet it didn't involve even a single authentic instrument of torture.
So this is the lake, huh? Perfect. From the looks of it, this heap of wire and plastic formerly known as a laptop will be right at home here. As I do not detect the presence of any spirits possessing it, I have no idea why the computer I was given here continues to play this "laugh track" even after I've mangled it this way -- nor do I care. All I know is that it's extremely irritating to be treated like some idiot in a sitcom when everything that I have to say is entirely serious. It doesn't help that the thing seems to be especially responsive to the following phrases:
- "Leave"
- "Go home"
- "Get out of this horrid dump"
All of which describe exactly what I'm planning to do as soon as I locate a certain individual. The ghosts I summoned should be all the help I need in order to find him, but to speed up the process, I suppose it couldn't hurt to ask assistance from some of you campers. And by ask, I mean give orders that you will follow if you know what's good for you. You see, the one I'm looking for is Asakura Yoh, future Shaman King; and I am Kyouyama Anna, itako and future wife of the Shaman Ki--
Oh, you find my destiny humorous, do you, you worthless little technological failure?! Here, tell that to the bottomfeeders!
