I tend to repeat binge watch if there's such a thing... like I watched "The White Queen" several times in a row (and read the books). I must also so that it used to help to discuss fandom-y things with others but that's so hard these days, every time I post something fandom-related in my LJ, I feel awkward, like talking into a void.

I tend to repeate binge shows I watched week to week. But, usually they are shows that are off the air. Now, what I tend to do is try to binge a show that's still on the air and once I catch up go week to week. I miss the fun parts of fandom like vidding, fic writing and talking to like minded people. I don't miss the ship wars.

Ah, who misses that?

Unfortunately I never learnt how to vid but yes, the writing and talking to other fans... making fanart sometimes.

The delayed gratification really makes you care about these fictional people in ways a bingewatch just can't do.

That's very true.

I agree with you - binge watching something just doesn't make you invested in the same way. Also, when I binge watch I just don't remember things about the show like I do with shows I watch week to week.
