It truly was so peaceful here, Kasumi thought; she had always been fond of temples. Evenings like this were the perfect time to do the mending. Humming quietly to herself, she pulled a shirt from the pile, picked a button from her basket, and began to sew. Issei-kun must be running out of clothes, by the size of the pile. Or shirts, at least; she laughed softly. His little friends must be so enthusiastic nowadays. Not that she should expect anything less from Tyki-kun.

He twined his hand in hers, met her gaze, and held it, full of warmth and promise. Her breath quickened, so hard to breathe, her heart felt too full- and then, “oh!” he moved, and the feeling burst.
Tyki-kun was just as gentle as she expected. When the sun rose, and the day grew warm, she smiled at him, just a little. He held her, kissed her forehead; he would never murmur words he did not mean- and even as his gentle hands withdrew, she bowed her head in understanding. He would not ask more than she was willing to give, and for this once: “my dear; thank you.”

Tatsumi was afraid to touch her. They stood side by side in line, arms barely brushed; their cheeks flushed. A week, and they held hands; a month, and they first kissed; three months, and the marriage virus. There was knowledge between them, new, terrifying- exciting. And now, it is Kasumi who touches him.
