In canon, Ichigo could 'sense the feelings in his opponent's sword'. This is something of a shounen tagline, but since Zangetsu is out, and about, and he is the actual sword that does the feeling, I've translated this into high-level Empathy. He's not a telepath, and can't hear thoughts, and whatnot, but he can sense emotions.

polarisation is totally fair game, although I doubt Zangetsu would get a chance to touch him physically, so it would have to be through proximity or accident. eternityunseen is more difficult due to his own empathy - it's generalized to a large radius around himself and always on, but not overwhelming. He also has the soul of a goddess. I don't know if that would strengthen or cloud Zangetsu's ability, so go ahead and use your best judgment.

And yeah, short of running into Sefton near the shelter, or something, these two don't have much in the way of CR :c.
There's a lot of powerful folks in BN, so right now Zangetsu is mostly just overwhelmed. He doesn't want to go outside, or be around crowds because he gets bombarded with emotion, and it gives him headaches. Being around Zach I tend to think would be like trying to see the stars with a bright light standing right next to you. If close to Zach, Zangetsu wouldn't be able to sense much outside of that big, glowy, goddess :|a

That makes sense, re: Zachary. We can definitely go with that, unless eternityunsaid-mun has an objection. Either way, hopefully I'll get to throw somebody at Zangetsu soon! :3

I figured Some would read as a jumble of insecurity, fear, yearning for family/acceptance, and lots of loneliness ;;

Uhh, special note that like Zachary above, Abe also has the soul of a goddess. Otherwise, mine aren't really tuned to empathy/telepathy/psionics and the like so they're either vulnerable, or at the very least, they pose no "threat" or hindrance, as it were.
