OOC: History
Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Fai first meet Kamui in a Tokyo ruined by acid rain. Like them, he wasn’t from that world, having traveled there from another world with his twin brother, Subaru, but unlike them, he became stranded. Kamui had only been able to travel from world to world with Subaru and after his death, became stranded.
No one really knows about where Kamui came from, since he hasn’t told anyone else about how he got the ability to travel between worlds or why he decided to. He doesn’t talk much, and he hasn’t spoken about his past since he arrived.
Kamui came from a world of vampires and vampire hunters, where he lived with his twin brother Subaru. They lived in hiding for most of their lives, keeping to themselves and not giving hunters any real reason to try and hunt them since they were among the more powerful pureblood vampires in their world. It wasn’t until they met a hunter by the name of Seishiro that they had to worry. Unlike the other hunters, Seishiro wanted to become immortal and would stop at nothing to try and reach that goal.
In order to get away from Seishiro, Kamui and Subaru went in search of the Space Time Witch, Yuuko, who could grant wishes for a price. In order to travel from world to word, it would cost them their immortality. They paid the price and gave up their immortality in order to travel from world to world as long as they were together.
They started traveling from world to world in order to keep away from Seishiro. What they didn’t know was that he also got the ability to travel from world to world and was doing what he could to try and find them again. He caught up to them on another world, catching them by surprise. In order to protect Subaru, Kamui fought against Seishiro. However, instead of running and hiding like Kamui said, Subaru watched as Kamui fought long and hard against Seishiro. Things weren’t going to well for Kamui and Seishiro aimed a killing blow at Kamui, but Subaru, noticing what was going to happen, used his speed and shoved Kamui out of the way and took the blow himself.
After realizing what Subaru had done, Kamui ignored Seishiro and took Subaru and ran. In order to get away from Seishiro, Kamui and Subaru traveled to yet another world, this one a Tokyo ruined by acid rain. However, this took the last of Subaru’s strength and shortly after arriving; he died leaving Kamui stranded in this world.
He was eventually taken in by a group of people living in one of the only buildings safe from the acid rain. He eventually became their leader, meeting a young man named Fuuma, who was the leader of the people living at one of the other safe buildings, Tokyo Tower. They fought many times over the water that was stored in the basement of the Government building that Kamui was living at.
After living there for several years, Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Fai arrived and took shelter in the Government Building. Shortly after their arrival, they were attacked by Kamui, who thought that they might be there to steal water. It turned out to not be the case, since shortly after Fuuma and a small group of his people arrived again to try and take some water.
After taking care of Fuuma, Kamui allowed Sakura and the others to stay with them until they found the feather that they were looking for. It turned out that the feather had hidden itself under the water of the government building. While trying to find the feather something happened. It turned out that the Syaoran that Sakura, Kurogane, and Fai were traveling with was a clone and was programmed to do anything to get Sakura’s feather back. The real Syaoran managed to get free and find the world that they were in as tragedy struck.
The cloned Syaoran had attacked Fai after losing some of his power to the real Syaoran and ate one of his eyes in order to take the magic from him. After taking one of the feathers hidden under the water, the cloned Syaoran left Tokyo in search of other worlds and fathers to find, leaving the real Syaoran and the others behind. With the loss of the feather protecting the building, the acid rain had started to wear down the building and would eventually contaminate the water supply.
They tended to Fai’s wound as best that they could, but it looked like Fai still might not make it, so they asked Yuuko if there was anything that they could do to save him. While talking with Yuuko, Kamui’s second in command asked for enough water to fill the reservoir. Both wishes could be granted, for a price. In order to get the water, someone would have to go and retrieve an item and in order to help Fai, Kamui had to turn him into a vampire.
Kamui agreed and mixed his blood with Kurogane’s, making it to where Fai could only feed from him. Someone then had to go get the item needed to pay for the water, but just as they were going to go and get the item needed to pay for the water, Fuuma along with several of his people from the Tower arrived again with another feather, sealed within a special case. He offered to give it to Sakura, who had just woken up in return for the people of the Tower to live in the Government Building. Sakura, not wanting to see the people suffer in this world even more, wanted to leave the feather in the Government building in order to protect the water.
It was then that Fuuma told them that he had gotten the case from another world and that he was a hunter similar to his older brother, Seishiro. Learning this, Kamui flew into a rage, attacking Fuuma because of what Seishiro had done to him and his brother. The fight didn’t last long since Sakura tried to break it up.
After the fight, Syaoran was about to volunteer to go get the item needed when Sakura volunteered instead. It was because of her feather that the water supply was in danger and she wanted to be the one to go and get the payment for the water. After a long and dangerous trip, she returned with the item and sent it to Yuuko for the water.
After patching up their wounds, Sakura, Syaoran, Kurogane and Fai left, but not before tossing the feather back into the water to protect it and the building. After they had left, Kamui declined an offer from Fuuma to be taken to another world, instead choosing to stay in Tokyo to wait for Seishiro and to help protect the people and the water.
