My Nashcon Recap!
Sorry it's taken forever to get this written up!
First I'll start with the hotel. It's a great hotel but really it's not ideal for a convention like this. At all. The hotel is very sprawled and the majority of our walking was down room hallways! I much would have preferred the tall rather than wide hotel. It was a 15 minute walk from our room to the convention center and we had one of the closer rooms!
Also this Creation event was not well scheduled at all. So many people missed not only photo ops but whole panels thanks to things being run at the exact same time elsewhere!
Friday evening I was wandering around looking for food and found a bunch of people who knew who I was!! Which is very disconcerting but totally awesome!! Here's a few of those lovely girls and photos from around the hotel
Friday night Karaoke was AMAZING!!! Jenna and I decided to sing and well turns out.... Richard does indeed remember me and announced it to everyone lol. We also got hugs from Richard and Matt <3 Here we are singing Holding out for a Hero
After the Karaoke party Richard shook my hand and said it was great to see me and Jenna.
The next morning was the Breakfast with Jared and Jensen. Now Nashville was my first gold ticket con so I had never done this before but it really was great!! The food was wonderful and my table was pretty quiet which I admit I would have preferred chatters lol. Here's the video I took during the panel followed by some camera pics
After the panel was photo ops with Jared and Jensen. I was sharing a Jared op with my friend hils and I have to say. Jared is a giant!! It's one thing to know he's big but when he's towering a foot and a half over you it's a whole new ballgame. He was super super sweet though and even bent down so he was kind of on our level for the pic.
I didn't do any Meet and Greets or anything so my next thing up was Jared and Jensen's panel and OMG!!! It was wonderful! Those two together are insane and it's hilariously fun. I did do video during the panel but had to leave midway through when I got bad news from home that my grandfather was put into hospice care. Here's what I did get from the panel.
After the J2 panel was autographs with them AND photo ops with Matt Cohen. This was NOT well timed at all. We were supposed to go get our Matt pics and then get autographs but with the giant crowd I couldn't find the girl I was supposed to get my Matt pic with so we were told we could get our Matt pic later. Jensen and Jared both autographed my drop spindle and I was happy. :D
Then it was super happy fun time!! Matt Cohen and Richard Speight Jr.'s panel!! So for a bit of a back story my seat as F31 and my friend decided since I loved Richard so much she would let me sit in her AA seat for his panel!! *flails* So people had lined up on the left side of the stage but no one was there on the left side for questions and Matt and Richard mentioned it and I lunged at that microphone! Everyone found that kind of funny. Before I asked my question Matt totally gushed about my dress, he thought my outfit was great! Then I asked my question.....and Dear God I don't know where all my courage came from this weekend. I asked Richard to please walk across stage away from me so I could see the proof that he really was bowlegged.
*Takes a mini break to fangirl* Ok ladies I have to tell you this. With as much as people swoon over Jensen's bowlegged swagger, they've never seen anything till they watch Richard strut across that stage!! I admit I totally threw the girl behind me under the bus and voiced her thought that 'You could fit an elephant between that man's legs!!!' LOL Richard totally called me on it though hahaha.

After that we had photo ops with Matt and Richard. Matt once again swooned over my dress and told me I looked like a little doll!! (Which was totally what I was going for lol so I was happy) Here's my photo op from Matt with my friend Jennifer
After that was my photo op with Richard which I decided to do my solo on Saturday and my shared with Sarah for Sunday. So I was getting emotional. I'd had some shitty things happen, was upset about my grandfather and I told Richard 'I'm having a cruddy day, lets do something fun' he asked what was wrong and I told him. He is the sweetest man in the world..... and our photo op?
Yeah.... was NOT expecting it but totally LOVED it! LOL After photo ops though it was supposed to be a Brian Buckley concern and then Autographs with Matt and Richard but once again things were kind of all smooshed together and running together and I got food instead. LOL
Around this time I was having problems with my ear. I wear hearing aids and earlier in the day they had turned themselves way up and everyone screamed during the J2 panel. My ear started bleeding which is not a good sign. Jenna had just picked up Corin Nemec from the airport and said she'd run me to the ER. Well I ended up bawling on his shoulder in the front lobby, he initiated the hug btw and totally smooshed me up and it was very sweet of him.
We got finished in the ER, my ear drum was in tact but my ear was definitely injured. I got released and back to the hotel about 11:30 and the cocktail party was still in action!!! So I did get to go!! I missed Matt but I got to a table in time for Brock and Richard. More Richard stuff is very fun. I should mention the ER had given me a shot of pain killers and I was high. I totally rambled at Richard for a bit and then when he left the table my friend practically carried me to our room. LOL
Jenna, Sarah, and I ended up walking the hotel though with our friend Elisabeth and found boys! We sat around in a powwow and talked to these boys from Indiana till like 3 am lol.
Now Sunday started early, at least for people who were up till 3 am LOL!! Elisabeth totally blind sided me and told me she wanted to do Misha's photo op with me! I wasn't going to do an op with Misha and she didn't want me to pay anything for it! Which totally blew me away. She is the sweetest girl ever and here is our op
Now I need to tell you something about this op lol! Both of us were exhausted, starving and had just rolled out of bed. I was still 'off' from the drugs. And Misha.... poor poor Misha was trying to talk with us HAHAHA!! We totally blew him off without meaning to!! We just weren't in our right minds! LOL
Richard, Chad and Brock's panel? ROCK!!! Oh my Gosh!! Those boys are heart stopping together!! Chad *squee* is totally amazing!! He was wearing black nail polish! All three of them walked the audience and people who had their hands up got to ask questions. I kept my arm up forever and finally asked Chad a question. My question for him was 'Do you wear fingernail polish all the time? Cause it's hot' LOL I got a hug for it and a nice little story and I totally developed a crush on him.
After that was photo ops with Richard again and Sarah and I were ready. I wasn't sure if I'd have the guts to ask for our pose but I did. We walked up and he was excited that we were getting one together and I'm all 'I have a great idea for a photo op' and he's all 'oh yeah' and I'm 'yeah you hold us tight around the waist while we kiss each cheek' and he's all 'awesome!!' so the final thing?
You guys have no idea how nerve-wracking it is to stand with your lips pressed against this man's cheek until they took the photo!!! But it looks AMAZING! *swoons*
Then we had Corin's panel!! And boy did I have a question for him. I wanted something fun that he could answer with a story. I asked him his most interesting convention experience and was treated to an awesome story about a Klingon who tried to wrestle him!! LOL oh man I really need to dig through youtube and find that too!
Then Jen and I had a photo op with Corin!!
After the photo op I went to pull away and he wouldn't let go of my shoulder and was asking if I was ok and I told him I was good. ^^ Sweet Sweet Sweet guy!!
Then was Jason Manns concert which I missed thanks to that pesky need to eat. I did catch the end of it from the stairs though!! As always he sounded great!!! The night ended convention wise with autographs!!
I got everyone's autographs onto one spindle which I did worry about. With Misha though he asked What on Earth he was signing and I go 'Really?! I thought you of all people would know what this is!!' after I told him he admitted that he indeed should have known because he spent the summer on a yak farm spinning the fibers one year!! LOL For Corin I told him 'We're running out of room, think you can fit it' and he goes 'Oh it will fit' LMABO.
I ended my autos with Chad and he totally remembered me from my question to him LOL. Then I decided 'Well I have an extra $20 and I want Richard to sign the kissy photo!' so I bought an extra ticket and joined his line. He was so excited with how the pic turned out and was all 'That's a great fun photo!!!' and signed it 'To Melissa and Sarah. Smooch' with his name LOL
So after all this is over Jenna, Elisabeth, Nicole, and Sarah are sitting in the ballroom all the panels were at and everyone is gone but the workers and Jenna looks up and is all 'Hey Misha! Wanna join our powwow?!' lol he was on the stage visiting with Gary. He was all 'Wish I could' and I berated him again for not knowing what a spindle was (just jokingly) LOL
So it was a great Great GREAT Con!! I loved it!! Hotel + Con = not so much but it was definitely memorable and good.
