I want a happy finale, dammit! Why does there always need to be angst and death and lovers leaving and anarchy breaking out and poor Chloe being left all on her own at the freshman dance while Clark goes off to rescue Lana from a tornado (that didn't all happen in the same finale, by the way)?

I have a really horrible feeling that something Extremely Bad that raises the bar on Smallville angst is going to happen this time, though. Get out of my head, feeling.

It seems to be the way of things that no one can be happy, especially on TV shows. I suspect that one of the signs of the acopolypse is a happy ending on one of my favourite shows.
