A meme, stolen from yorunohime

SIX PAIRINGS I LIKE:
1) Doctor/Rose (Doctor Who)
2) Lois/Oliver (Smallville)
3) Ned/Chuck (Pushing Daisies)
4) Ron/Hermione (Harry Potter)
5) Chloe/Clark (Smallville)
6) Arwen/Aragorn (The Lord of the Rings)

(Two of these started as books, but if there's a television-only rule, I'm breaking it.)

THREE SHIPS I'VE ABANDONED:
7) Lex/Lana (Smallville)
8) Harry/Ginny (Harry Potter)
9) Eowyn/Aragorn (The Lord of the Rings)

THREE SHIPS I'VE NEVER LIKED:
10) Clark/Alicia (Smallville)
11) Doctor/Martha (Doctor Who)
12) Harry/Hermione (Harry Potter)

TWO SHIPS THAT HAVE PIQUED MY INTEREST:
13) Dinah/Oliver (Smallville)
14) Chloe/Davis (Smallville)

QUESTIONS:

1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
I don't like Martha, to put it simply.

2. Who do you know that ships #13?
Nobody. But it's such an obvious possibility that there's no way there aren't a bunch of people somewhere who ship them.

3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
It would be nice if, y'know, they could touch each other. Realistically, that's bound to cause a few problems in a relationship. Fortunately, Pushing Daisies is not realistic, which is probably why I like it so much.

4. What is your favorite moment for #1?
All moments when they are together (and several when they're not). If I had to pick one I suppose it would be that bit in The Unquiet Dead where Nine is all "Wow, you're so beautiful. Um, as far as humans go, obviously. *cough*". Or in Fear Her where we see that neither is remotely squicked out by the idea of one spitting chewed gum into the other's hand. That is romance for you.

5. How long have you been following couple #6?
Ooh, that was my first ship ever, I think! About... five years?

6. What's the story with #8? What made you stop caring?
I'm not sure I ever really did care. For a while I thought of myself as a Harry/Ginny shipper, but then it kind of dawned on me that they were together for the sake of Harry having a girlfriend, and there wasn't really a massive amount of build up to it. I don't mind the fact that they're together, but I don't have any real interest in them.

7. Which ship do you prefer--#2 or #4?
Two. Shame, because it was destined to crash and burn sooner or later, and they went with the sooner.

8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
Harry/Hermione wouldn't be that awful if it happened, it would have just failed to pay attention to seven books worth of Ron/Hermione subtext. So, allakazam, 10 is gone.

9. What interests you about #14?
Mainly that when there is a ship that is canonically possible and/or happening and doesn't involve Lex on Smallville, I am likely to start shipping it. And the actors had a lot of chemistry and also apparently I am drawn to ships that are bound to end in extreme angst. Given that one of the pairing is a villain and doesn't realise it, this fits in nicely with that. However, I've noticed this fandom is one in which mushed ship names abound. This particular ship would probably be "Chlavis". I don't know that my nerves could take it.

10. When did you stop liking #7?
I only had an interest in this very briefly (I don't like Lex-related ships, see above) because I felt that Lana was getting so nasty they deserved each other. Then she wanted out so desperately and she certainly wasn't so horrible that I wanted her trapped in a loveless relationship.

11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the series?
No. Again, it was only a very brief interest; I have always, at heart, shipped Arwen/Aragorn.

12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?
What Can I Do? by The Corrs.

13. Which of these ships do you love the most right now?
Doctor/Rose will always be my absolute favourite ship. I feel fairly confident about that.

14. Which do you dislike the most?
Doctor/Martha. Or Clark/Alicia. Neither is a possibility anymore; Martha and Alicia are engaged and dead respectively, so it doesn't really matter.

15. If you could have any of these pairings double date, who would they be?
If Ned and Chuck and the Doctor and Rose went on a double date it would undoubtedly be the cutest thing they have ever shown on TV in the entire time that television has existed.

16. Have #2 kissed yet? Elaborate if yes.
Several times, since at one point they were an established couple. Since they broke up, they've considered their feelings for each other again in one episode (and kissed), and I'm fairly sure they still love each other. I suspect the storyline will be completely closed in the not-too-distant future, however.

17. Did #4 have a happy ending? Do you think one is likely?
They're blissfully married with two kids. Seems a happy enough ending to me.

18. What would make you start shipping #14?
I think I could only start properly shipping it if Jimmy and Chloe completely ended their relationship, Clark and Lois realised and admitted their feelings for each other, mostly cancelling out my other Chloe-related ships, and I felt I was mentally prepared for the inevitable woe that shipping Chloe/Davis would bring.

19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer--#2 or #6?
I... but... that's a really hard question! Probably Arwen/Aragorn because that absolutely was true love, and while I adore Lois/Oliver, I know that both of them will be able to move on.

20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
In the show, Alicia died. I'm not sure I could deal the ship a more fatal blow if I sat and thought about it for the next week. If I could have changed it I would have made Clark acknowledge that she was a manipulative bitch even after her stint in an asylum cured her of her desire to knife anyone who she thought he was showing an interest in, and he would have told her where to go when she showed up in Unsafe, rather than what he actually did, which was take her ice skating.

That was... long.
