I know that the soul can become infected by the demons of our world. That is why exorcists like my father was... are so important.

There are also forbidden rituals in three holy books kept at the Vatican which can cause even more damage if their secrets are unlocked. Grandpa Roger spoke briefly on those who have touched such things.
