So I turned out to be 2nd in the competition and it was lovely and then we went to Ikea and I got a new cupboard, and hopefully by spring I'll have my whole room redecorated!! :)

A few weeks back, when I saw the video for Devil's Spoke by Laura Marling, I decided that I will preorder her new album from HMV. Thank goodness I didn't preorder yet; now

13 quid is a very generous price for a triple record (it's basically like having two on her while paying for the one left, ha ha.) Then again, Laura Marling. IDK, just pick one and don't worry about it. It's not like you'll never get your hands on the other.

oh gee, i just checked, only 12 quid. that's 4 for one album. let's assume that i could get joanna newsom in hungary, then this album would cost like 10000 forints at least. ahaha i'm so ridiculously confused.

lol, too true. It's insane the way they overprice everything here. Of course record sales are down when shit's unaffordable.
Also, there's another point, I *think* i once saw Alas I Cannot Swim in a Hungarian record shop. Maybe I'm imagining things but maybe not. However, I am certain that I have never seen any Joanna Newsom records here. They don't exactly jump at you even in a culturally less handicapped place England, either.

well, as for me i'm glad if i walk into a record store and find stuff like muse or björk. so when i walked into hmv in london and saw shelves full of my favourite music of course i squee'd. alas i cannot swim might be possible to find here coz i didn't find her music just out of randomness, it was sent to me by a friend. while, i don't know any other hungarian person who likes joanna newsom. sometimes i wish i could open an indie record shop and sell unknown music.
